Stuart Spector's Ultimate Vision for the Bolt-On Neck Bass All of our USA Series™ Guitars are made by Stuart and his small group of dedicated master craftsmen. Our Neck-Thru Models are the epitome of what makes our guitars unique. For nearly 40 years Stuart has worked diligently to perfect the art of building guitars by hand using and unique mixture of old-world techniques and modern materials. Built-to-order using only the finest materials available, the Spector®  USA Series Bolt-On neck basses represent a re-envisioning of the NS-Body™ bass into a highly functional and balance bold-on neck design.  These basses feature another Stuart Spector innovation, the deep-pocket neck insert design.  This design allows for a more stable neck-to-body connection, increasing sustain and overall neck rigidity and stability. The bodies are made from lightweight mahogany and feature any number of tone-wood tops, from maple to exotic walnut and redwood.  Fingerboard materials include Stuart's preferred wood, Pau Ferro (Bolivian Rosewood) and Premium Birdseye Maple. AVAILABLE MODELS Shorty™ The Short Scale Spector® Designed by request by long-time Spector® Artist Garry Tallent of the E Street Band, this 30 and 3/8 inch scale (short-scale) bass offers another option for the bassist who requires a short-scale option for touring, gigs and the recording studio. NS-2 Bolt-On™ The Legendary Spector® NS-2™ Bolt-On Bass A new translation of the venerable EMG™ P/J powered Neck-Thru NS-2™ into a bolt-on neck design. NS-4H2™ The 4-String USA Bolt-On with Dual Humbucking Pickups. Powered by two EMG® Humbucking Pickups and available with a AAAA quilt maple top or a number of exotic tops such as buckeye burl, walnut burl, redwood burl or spalt maple.  NS-5H2™ 35" Scale 5-String NS-Body™ Bolt-On Neck Bass This 35" Extra-Long Scale 5-String is the bolt-on neck version of our famous NS-5XL™ NS-Body™ bass and features the same options as the NS-4H2™ model. NS-6H2™ The 6-String SPECTOR® NS-Bass™ Bolt-On Neck Bass Featuring the largest tonal range of any Spector® the NS-6H2™ is the bolt-on neck version of the Neck-Thru NS-6XL™ and features a 35" Extra-Long Scale neck.
